Getting started

I have set up this blog to document the class "Early Christianity in its Pagan Context" taught by me (Paul Duff, Professor of Religion at GWU) and Katherine Keller (Professor of Theater and Dance at GWU).

Our trip begins on Thursday, May 20. We will be leaving from Dulles Airport outside of Washington, DC and landing in Athens on May 21.

  1. It was a beautiful day in Washington to start the journey. 80 degrees (F) and sunny - after 3 days of rain and cold.

[I'm here in northern Virginia awaiting updates to this blog.]

I did receive an email from Professor Duff at 2:50am (Eastern Standard Time)(May 21st) telling me that the group had arrived in Frankfort, Germany and would soon be on their way to Athens.

'Eager to get the next installment of "Aegean Antics!"

  2. Another email arrived! Actually, it came in at 9:08am (ET) today (May 21st). Professor Duff announced that the group had arrived in Athens and that he would write later. My guess is they're a bit 'jetlagged'... but very much ready for this exciting adventure!
